HASAG - Asbestos Disease Support

Here for you at this difficult time.

HASAG Asbestos Disease Support understands how important it is to continue supporting people and their families affected by asbestos-related diseases during this pandemic. For the safety of our patients, their families and our team, our coffee mornings are cancelled until further notice. However, we are running monthly Zoom coffee mornings and we have a Virtual Coffee Morning group on Facebook. Please get in touch if you are interested. We are not visiting patients in their homes, instead we are doing telephone or zoom appointments. We are still in the office and available Monday-Friday 9am-5:30pm via telephone or email. Alternatively you can get in touch with us via social media Monday-Sunday and we will get back to you as soon as possible. Please know that HASAG’s support is still here for you.

Team HASAG.

Nicola’s Skydive

May 18th, 2018

On the 13th May Nicola did a skydive to raise funds for Hasag.

I sadly lost my dad to mesothelioma in January and we were given the contact details of HASAG. Lynne and Jo came to visit my mum and I and helped us out in understanding what we had to do next.

I had already decided I wanted to do a skydive and once I had met Lynne and Jo I didn’t think twice who I would like to raise the money for.

This was now a charity that meant so much to me, my dad was my hero and I wanted to something in his memory.

I chose 13th May to do my jump as it would have been my dad’s 70th birthday. The day couldn’t have gone any better, the sun was shining and I know that my dad would have been watching with a large brandy in his hand and no doubt laughing at me! But more importantly I was making people aware of this amazing charity and letting them know help is only a phone call away.

My family and I can’t thank the HASAG Team enough for everything they have done for us and continue to do for other’s, they are an amazing team and we wouldn’t be where we are without them.

I am already looking for my next challenge!

-Nicola
